I realize I haven't posted anything new and exciting for the past month. I really need to plug in my camera and get some blogging material off of there. But for now a short little update will do. The end of November was full of sick kids and yummy food. All three kids went through some sort of awful bug, Gabe, of course getting it the worst and missing a full week of school due to an asthma flair up. They were all feeling better just in time for Thanksgiving. We are always lucky enough to spend holidays with both mine and Kwintons families since our parents live on the same street. So we had double the yummy food and lots of fun. Here we are with December in full swing. I am almost ready for Christmas, just a few more things to pick up! The kids are growing more excited everyday as the holiday gets closer. Although if Cole has to see that scary Santa Clause one more time he might just hurt the old man. The thought of Santa coming into our house at night and leaving presents has got him scared as well. Such a funny kid!

Denver with Angie
Alright...... I have a confession to make. I have traveled out of state twice in my life to see Hanson in concert. I know what your thinking. "Hanson? Like mmm Bop?" Yes. Like mmm Bop. Now before you get all crazy on me here's the story. ANGIE is the Hanson fan, not me. I don't hate them, but I would not (on my own dime) travel out of state to see them in concert. But my sweet yet crazy sister would, and she takes me along for the ride. You know you would all go on a free trip too, so don't even start. Anyway, we flew into Denver on a Tuesday and went to the concert Tuesday night. It was actually a ton of fun, I even made some friends in line while Angie left me to go meet Hanson. (She won some crazy meet and greet and had to ditch me for a while). We spent Wednesday finding some malls and just cruising around Denver. Not so different from Salt Lake might I say but still fun. I didn't take a ton of pictures but here's a few!
STOP WORKING!!!!
The funniest part. We were the ONLY people in the place!
Halloween
Halloween was of course full of excitement this year with all of the crazy kids. Family parties, ward parties and good old trick or treating. This year we stayed home to trick or treat around our own neighborhood and it was a blast. Angie and Dan came out with their girls to join us. Angie and I were Bert and Ernie (so funny by the way how many kids were scared of us). I didn't even get a picture of me and Angie on my own camera. Check out Angie's blog for a picture.
Little Samuel was a giraffe
the frosting like chips and dip or something.
Pretty clever if you ask me!
She is cute none the less.

Taylor Boys Birthdays
My cute little nephews birthday are pretty close in October, so Meg decided to do a joint birthday party for them (while she can still get away with it). It was a lot of fun, Meg always goes above and beyond in making the cake and doing fun stuff for the kids. They all had a blast! Well, except for the Hastings family who were home sick. Here are some pictures from the fun time. Oh, and please notice the awesome cake Meg made again! She is truly amazing. I love all of my sweet little nieces and nephews, I am so glad my family is so close and that we get to see them all grow up together. Happy Birthday too Enoch (5) and Jarom (2).

First Grade Frights
My son Gabriel is in first grade this year and boy is he learning a lot. I would like to share with you a couple of things that he picked up at school this week.
Story #1
Cali and Gabe are upstairs wrestling when I can only assume Gabe gets hit "between the legs." I then hear Gabe yell "oh.... my cheese its." He was clearly referring to his package. He then said to Cali, "actually Cali when boys at my school get hit there, they yell OH MY WEINER!" I sat downstairs listening to my 6 year old tell my very clueless four year old GIRL that boys have weiners between there legs.
Story #2
After finishing dinner Cali and Gabe are sitting on the couches getting ready to do their reading and Gabe starts singing "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me. Don't you wish your girlfriend was a freak like me." A song that he has NEVER heard around here. How nice it is to know he is learning so much at school.
The Big White Alligators
This fall Cali has been on a soccer team. They were named the Big White Alligators. Chris Routson was the coach and I was the assistant coach. She had a lot of fun going out and playing with her friends. She was on a team with her cousins Hannah and Payton, also her friend Jace that lives across the street. I think it is pretty safe to say that she will probably not be a super sports star in her lifetime, but she sure was cute out there. She tried hard and ran fast, it's just that the others were faster. She did however score a goal in the opponents goal one game. I was just thrilled that she kicked the ball!! Here are some pictures... If nothing else, she is most certainly the cutest thing out there!

Sad Kids.....
For the past couple of weeks my poor little kids have been off and on battling sickness. First Cole then Gabe and now Cole again. It is the saddest thing to see your kids so sick and not be able to do much for them. With the crummy asthma that Gabe has to fight I am always worried about him getting sick and now I have to worry about this darn swine flu. It's a good thing kids bounce back from things so quickly. Hopefully this isn't a sign of whats to come this winter in my household.
