Grandma Andersen

I just wanted to post a few pictures from Kwinton's grandmas funeral service. As I have said before Kwinton's grandma lived to be 101. She was without a doubt one of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She passed away on May 15th.

Kwinton, Gabe and Cali going into the church.

These were some pictures that were set out of Lilly. You can't see the one on the left very well but I LOVE IT. I am going to need to find me a copy of it.

This was a blown up family tree starting with Lilly and going BACK 10 generations. This was her lifes work. She worked on genealogy for years and years until her eyes got bad enough that she could no longer do the work.

I hope you can click on this picture and read this paper. It was laid out on a table at the service along with boxes of temple card which Lilly did all of the research for.

These boxes!!!! AMAZING!! The picture really doesn't do it justice. There were thousands of cards.

This is a picture of all of Lilly's children 5 boys and 1 girl (Kathy). Kathy is my mommy-in-law.

The kids did really good at the service,
Gabriel is the only one that really understood the whole situation. He had a few rough days dealing with the death of his Grandma. It has been interesting to watch Gabe go through the experience of getting baptized last month and then the passing of his grandma. I think he is starting to understand Gods plan. I am so blessed to have such good children in my life. It is so amazing to see your children make the right choices and really want to do their best to follow Gods plan. At least it makes me feel like I am doing something right.

A week with the Hastings gals!

While Angie and Dan are livin it up in New York with my parents this week my family has magically grown two extra children. As if there weren't enough kids running around this place! Now I don't really want to get in to why my best friend would head across the country to the big city and leave her one and only sister behind, so lets just dive right into the FUN that WE are having with our super sized family!

THURSDAY! DISCOVERY GATEWAY.

First we stopped to play with the balls.

Cole and Gabe were putting balls down tubes that made silly sounds.

Emma helped Cole crank the wheels

These tubes would suck balls up them.
When you opened them the wind would blow at you!

It was hilarious

Cole wasn't to sure about it.

A little music anyone?

Kwinton J. loved his own little chair.

Construction workers

Cali and Hannah in a boat.

Fun in baby land!

I think this was Coles favorite place.

Going for a ride

Yeehaw!

Kwinton J. was so good.

Hannah was a good rock climber.

These two were monkeys

Crazy child only got one step off the ground and
it was because I made him do it.

Cali was a little scared too.

The boys played in the helicopter.

The girls colored with chalk.

Then they doodled with the Bee.
(except crazy child, he was afraid of the bee.)

Then we joined a finger painting class!!!!

Do I really need to tell you how crazy child felt about it?

Emma dove right in. I have a feeling her mother wouldn't approve of this mess.

To top off our awesome day. They pulled Emma's name
out for the Grand Prize! 7 Doodle books the kids have
been having a blast with.

We hurried home so we could get Gabe to batting practice.

FRIDAY!
The weather was amazing! So we threw on some
summer clothes and went out back.

Dad turned the sprinklers on!! These are the brave kids.

These are the wimps.
