Kwintons Birthday

Kwintons birthday was on Monday the 17th. The kids had the day off of school since it was M.L.K. day. So we spent the day cleaning up the house and waiting for daddy to get home from work. The kids decorated a little table and put a sign on it that said "birthday table". They also made Kwinton some hilarious birthday crowns which he happily wore while he opened his presents. For dinner Kwinton wanted French toast. (I don't get the breakfast for dinner thing, but hey it wasn't my birthday.)

I decided to get him a Blu Ray Player. He has really

wanted one, but would never go out and spend money

like that on himself. So I did it for him. He had NO idea!!!!

Kwinton couldn't wait to play with his new toy, so he went downstairs and hooked it up while I made his dinner. After dinner we just had to watch the new movie and eat some ice cream cake. All in all I think the day turned out great, I know Kwinton loved just staying in and spending the night with me and the kids!

First Piano Recital.

Gabriel had his very first piano recital in December. He has been playing now for about 7 months. I wish I would have had a video camera with me but I didn't even think about it that night. I was so, so nervous for him when he got up there. But as he always does, he pulled through like a champ. He is just like his dad and never tells me that he is nervous until it is all over. I think they do it to keep me calm. ( I know Kwinton does it to keep me calm, because I am always a ball of nerves at things like this.) It is just funny to see Gabe do the same thing to keep me calm. But no matter what they say it doesn't stop me from tearing up when I see my kids do things like this.

The songs he played were Thanksgiving day, Up on the house top, and Jazz Band Jam. Now, I don't know anything about piano, but I do know that he is doing really well. His teacher is constantly amazed at how fast he is learning.
