Off track fun!

My kids have been off track for a few weeks and we have had a pretty good time. They are going to go to a traditional school next year and honestly I am not sure how I feel about it. I love having them home with me throughout the year to hang out a little. Although I am glad that they will finally get to have a real summer break from school. Not just three weeks. So I guess I have a little bit of mixed emotions. Anyhow, they are home with me for a few more days so I am just going to soak it up. I feel like I see Gabe less and less each week while he is in school. I mostly work nights so by the time he is getting home from school, or choir, or piano I am bolting out the door to work. There are some days the only time I see him is when he is heading off to school in the morning. I guess its just another phase in the mom life. Kids getting older and doing there own thing. We will see how I do next year when I don't have these little times when they are off track and I get to see them a little extra!
Here are some pictures of some fun things we have been up to.

My nephew Tae got baptized. I think he is
a total cutie. But I recently realised that i am that
aunt that bugs the crap out of my nephews because
I love to give them hugs and let face it. They
are just "getting to old for this!"

We all got nice and pretty for it!

I put Kwinton in this outfit and found a picture of
Gabe in the same outfit!

They went on a train ride at the mall. They decided
to sit in the coal cart for Cole!

Me and Kwinton waited for them to get back.

They played in the dino land at the mall.

Cole jumping across the foot prints.

They rode the carousel. Gabe would only ride the dragon.
Haha, he is getting to old for this too.

Cali rode this ugly cat with a fish in its mouth.

and crazy child would only ride in the handi chair
because he was afraid of the animals.

We made a cake!

These two literally licked the bowl!

This is Kwinton J.s favorite toy!

We went sledding. Gabe loved it!

Cali didn't like carrying her sled back up.

and crazy child was afraid of sledding so he ran away.

Me and Kwinton J watched again.....

Cali decided to play at the park because sledding was
too much work.

Cole came back to play at the park too.

Gabe just kept sledding. He even went back later
that day with his friend Jake.

Waiting for Spring!!!

I am anxiously awaiting some better weather around here! It's pretty much all I think about all day long! These pictures are from last year, they just make me happy! Come on spring push Old Man Winter out of here.
p.s. I am not crazy, I know it's only February. What can I say, 4 kids stuck in the house all day because of cold weather can make a lady want an early spring.

Kwintons Birthday

Kwintons birthday was on Monday the 17th. The kids had the day off of school since it was M.L.K. day. So we spent the day cleaning up the house and waiting for daddy to get home from work. The kids decorated a little table and put a sign on it that said "birthday table". They also made Kwinton some hilarious birthday crowns which he happily wore while he opened his presents. For dinner Kwinton wanted French toast. (I don't get the breakfast for dinner thing, but hey it wasn't my birthday.)

Sitting at his birthday table, getting ready to open presents!!!

The kids got him Despicable Me!

I decided to get him a Blu Ray Player. He has really
wanted one, but would never go out and spend money
like that on himself. So I did it for him. He had NO idea!!!!
The look on his face says it all!!!!

This crown was awesome.

Kwinton couldn't wait to play with his new toy, so he went downstairs and hooked it up while I made his dinner. After dinner we just had to watch the new movie and eat some ice cream cake. All in all I think the day turned out great, I know Kwinton loved just staying in and spending the night with me and the kids!

First Piano Recital.

Gabriel had his very first piano recital in December. He has been playing now for about 7 months. I wish I would have had a video camera with me but I didn't even think about it that night. I was so, so nervous for him when he got up there. But as he always does, he pulled through like a champ. He is just like his dad and never tells me that he is nervous until it is all over. I think they do it to keep me calm. ( I know Kwinton does it to keep me calm, because I am always a ball of nerves at things like this.) It is just funny to see Gabe do the same thing to keep me calm. But no matter what they say it doesn't stop me from tearing up when I see my kids do things like this.
The songs he played were Thanksgiving day, Up on the house top, and Jazz Band Jam. Now, I don't know anything about piano, but I do know that he is doing really well. His teacher is constantly amazed at how fast he is learning.

We just brought Cali. Cole is not to be trusted
at things like this.

Isn't he handsome?

He looked so small next to that piano.

Piano Man.

The kids all sang We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
Why does he always look so small....

Holiday fun!

This year has slipped away from me in a big way. So here is a quick catch up of the holidays. Christmas Eve and Christmas are not even in this post but they are coming!

We took the kids to see the temple lights!

They were crazy, but it was fun.

Cali is lazy, she rode in Samuel's stroller.

Then we had the Wilson Christmas party!
Kwinton J. loved Marie! Aunt Sally, not so much. HAHA

100 Years!

Does it ever occur to anyone else just how long 100 years is? 36,500 Days! We are talking a whole century people. At the beginning of the year we celebrated Kwinton's Grandmas 100th birthday. After we had Kwinton J. it hit me how crazy it was that the were born a whole century apart.
Just imagine what life was like 100 years ago, imagine the completely different worlds that they will have grown up in. It turns out that Kwinton J. marks the 60th GREAT grandchild for her, another amazing accomplishment if you ask me.

Goodbye Fall

I love the few short weeks we get of fall around here. It turns way too cold way too fast. The kids always look forward to Grandpa's backyard when the leaves fall.

Kwinton J. loved his first time in the leaves.
